The doctors and nurses have been removing tubes and wires from Garren over the last two days. I didn't realize how much stuff they had hooked up to him. He looks so much better without all the clutter of machines and tubes everywhere.

Today Garren made another small step. He opens his eyes more frequently, and for longer periods of time. Today he opened his eyes 5 or 6 times. Each time he kept them open for about 3-4 minutes.

Thank you for continuing to pray for Garren. It is just blowing our minds to think about how many of you care so deeply about us and Garren. Thank you.

How awesome! I bet those few minutes to look into his eyes are just amazing. I pray that tomorrow, 5 to 6 times, becomes 7 or 8.

Love,

KLP

What an awesome sight this must be for you guys. To see your son opening his eyes. It is amazing how humbling this has been for us. It has reminded us of the things we take for granted every day. Something as small as hearing our child's voice, seeing him smile or the sound of his laugh at a silly joke. To receive a hug or a snuggle on the sofa. Please know we are there with you in prayer for as long as it takes. The Pooveys

What another super way to end the day with news like that...for about the gazillionth time in two weeks, I had tears in my eyes. These were joyful! We will continue to pray. Praise God! My family has been praying for Garren and all of you since we found out. I cannot imagine what people of no faith do in these situations. Although we don't know each other personally, my family and I think of you all every day and hope that the Lord continues to lay His healing hands on Garren, and comforts you all in His arms.

Yes, many people are continuing to pray for you and your family. I had a friend from California contact me today to see how, as she put it, "how is our little guy doing?" Believers are standing and believing with you from all parts of the world and U.S. Garren has touched us all.

Regarding yesterday's blog: how great that you could sit down with that brain specialist. To be "wowed" more, listen to Louis Giglio's "How Great is Our God" series; in one, he speaks of God's creative hand in the human body--and look up Laminin on the web...it is pretty neat(the protein that holds the body cells together, like glue)...

So glad Garren's opening his eyes more often! God's healing hand is at work....
