Sunday February 6, 2011 8:00am

Today could be a very telling day for Garren. They have completely warmed up his body to normal temp. (They kept him cooler than normal for about 24 hours to give the brain a better chance of healing).

They are now backing off of the sedation and paralytic medicine. The doctors will be watching for response, testing for brain activity and motor functions.

As I read my Bible beside Garren's bed this morning, these verses stood out to me:

Psalm 68:20 Our God is a God of salvation,
and escape from death belongs to the Lord God.

Psalm 68:28 Your God has decreed your strength.
Show Your strength, God,
You who have acted on our behalf.

Exodus 14:14 The LORD will fight for you; you have only to be silent.

As you pray for Garren today, pray for good responses. Pray for a calm for Garren as he reenters consciousness. Pray that there is no lasting damage.
