I love our doctors. I hate our doctors. These men and women are gifted, intelligent, and very knowledgeable in what they do. I thank God for the work that they do. I also get a sinking sick feeling every time I talk to them. I hang on every word, waiting for them to say something that is going to rip my heart out. It is excruciating at times to listen to them talk.

Today they did an MRI on Garren. I was dreading the moment when I would have to hear what they would say about it. They had warned us beforehand that the MRI would probably not reveal anything new - that it would just give them a better picture of what they were already sure had happened. Sure enough, they were right.

The MRI confirmed that the bleeding had caused the damage to Garren's brain, just as they had suspected. What does that mean? Fortunately, or unfortunately, nothing new.

The doctors' goal is to help keep Garren healthy by doing the work of the brain for him, allowing his brain to rest, giving it the best opportunity to heal. Time is our greatest friend right now. I told the doctor we have plenty of time. They do not want to do anything that might cause stress, so we will just wait. How long? It's impossible to know right now.

I am home with Kelsey watching Tinker Bell. We are having a great time together. I will spend the night in my own bed, then head back to see Garren tomorrow.

We had our quiet time together today. I read Exodus 19 & 20, and Psalm 73 this morning. This evening before I left we read Mark 6. Each time I pray with Garren. The end of Mark 6 says that the people implored Jesus that they might have their sick touch the fringe of his garment, so that they might be healed. I implored Jesus tonight, that he would touch Garren, and bring healing to his brain.

Thank you for continuing to pray.

Pastor, please remember everytime your feel like your heart is going to be ripped out that we are all praying for God's hand to be wrapped around it keeping it right where it is supposed to be! Tonight at SB Monroe we prayed specifically for continued strength for you, and that every time you might get discouraged that you would specifically hear our prayers and lift you back up! We are here for you and will continue to be the rock on which you can rest and on which you can be held up upon! We love you very much and continue to pray for Garren to be healed! Last night in my reading I read James 1: 2 - 4. Find glory in the test of endurance that he gives us!

Amazing the love that pours out. When I started to make dinner, two of the boys said, "no, Mom, we're fasting." No request on my part- they just heard the idea from Jen's message or someone at CATA and decided on their own, simply because they wanted to connect to the Lord while praying for Garren. I read about the MRI and simply think of one word... undaunted. So we fast.

we undertstand you clinging to every word that the doctors say...that is how we are here at home...reading your blog each day! Thank you so much for the up-dates. My heart was so heavy this morning reading and I asked Abba Father, "what now?" .Just as we know our children and their tones, He knows me and my tone....and our Haeavenly Father gently saids..."you wait, you pray, and you seek my face."
So seeking Him for Garren today!!

What a precious picture you paint for me Geoffrey, a father praying and petitioning heaven for his son's healing. I know Garren is hearing every word spoken and that your words spoken, God's word, is as healing to his body as the medical care he is receiving.
Continuing to pray and fast.

Love to you, Nancy, and the girls.

We are thinking about each member of your family...those at the hospital and those at home. We pray during the day for Garren and your family. "We wait in hope for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice for we trust in his Holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord even as we put our hope in You" Psalm 33 20-22. We will Wait as long as it takes and will pray as much as it takes. We are Kat's Nana and Papa Tom and we are so sorry that you all have to endure this experience...perhaps it will make us all pray a little harder, trust a little more...wait a little longer...the answers will come. Love in Christ, Tom and Lynda
