Nothing new to report. Just wanted to share some of our thoughts and emotions.

We are learning some things about this process. One of the things we've learned is that this is a marathon, not a sprint. We cannot expect things to happen quickly. We have to wait patiently for Garren's body to heal itself. That's hard, we want to see results now.

The doctors and nurses have been truly amazing - sharing pertinent information regularly, explaining things to us over and over. Truly amazing.

We are in good hands here. God's love has surrounded us through you all. Thank you for that.

"The LORD will fight for you; you have only to be still." - Ex. 14:14

Y'all are constantly on our minds and prayers. Praying for God to hold you close and give you strength and peace. I keep coming back to this verse...
Psalm 63:8 I cling to You; Your strong right hand holds me securely.

We've thought of you and prayed on and off all day. We really have a sense that God loves for his people to pray, and loves using the prayers of his people.

I had a young girl come to me this morning in class and she said....Mrs Diann, yesterday there were times when I'd forget throughout the day to pray for Garren and then all of a sudden I'd remember. She was looking to me and almost asking to be forgiven that at times she had forgotten to pray. I held her hand gently and said to her...." See, when you remember to pray for Garren, that is God speaking to your heart! At the moment "you remember", go ahead and pray. God knows that we become distracted by things throughout the day but when you remember....know that is God speaking to you! This little girls smile at that moment could have lit up the entire room. It was a great reminder to myself.....and as you said..and in the words of Lisa Turkos..."Be still and know that you are you and God is God"..... We are waiting with you and listening to our Almighty God for specific prayers for Garren and your family....

We are continuing to pray for Garren and your family and the doctors and nurses caring for him.

Just wanted to remind you, I know how you feel, I am sure you remember when Adrienne had her aneurysm. We had to wonder too, what would happen next, what would her deficits be, would she be able to over come them, who would care for her six month old while she was recovering (if she recovered)when her husband worked. As you know she is doing very well. Three years later she has had set backs. She still, however, has amazed the doctors at how well she has done. She, Aaron and their three and a half year old son have to count on Aaron's mom, my mom and myself some but on the most part she is living a completely normal life as a 25 year old wife and mother. I just want to encourage Nancy, you and the rest of the family. Call me if you need anything or just to talk. And you couldn't be more right this is a marathon, not a sprint. Daryl <><

I know that these moments are so difficult but through your trial I can feel the strenght that only God can give you. I remember Garren in my class and playing in FCA meeting on Thursdays morning. I know there is nothing I can do to change the facts and what our eyes see and our ears hear but I also know that there is One who has the whole picture and He will do according to His holy will and with a perfect plan and purpose. To Him I pray today for understanding and wisdom about His decissions. God keeps comforting you and holding you all as a family while passing through this hard trial. Mrs. Castiblanco Spanish teacher PRMS
I look behind me and you're there, then up ahead and you're there, too -your reassuring presence, coming and going. This is too much, too wonderful- I can't take it all in! Psalm 139:5-6 MSG

Garren has not left my heart for a second. Your family is being constantly lifted by so many. Within my family the four boys have each lifted prayers dozens of times sporadically throughout the day.
