Garren's Room

Today we had a bunch of supplies delivered for Garren's new room: shower, lumber, windows, drywall, insulation. The permits have been pulled, the HOA has given approval, now it's time to get to work. Framing will start Saturday morning.

We are planning to give Garren's room a Pittsburgh Steelers theme. Black and yellow, black and yellow. We can't wait to start decorating. Any professional interior decorators out there? We'd love your input. We've already had someone offer to donate the paint, and do the painting. It's going to be awesome.

Tomorrow morning I'm running in a half marathon. It will be my second one. When everything happened with Garren back in February, I wasn't sure if I would run or not. I was able to work in some training runs, and I'm looking forward to running this one. Should be a beautiful day for racing!

I'm sure Garren will love his new room; GO STEELERS. Anyways, I've been reading your blog and updates on Garren and I can honestly say that they never fail to amaze me and lift my spirits. I've been keeping Garren in my prayers and I don't think I've ever felt closer to God than I do at this moment; I would like to thank you for that.
Your family is in my family's prayers.

Sincerely, one of Garren's former classmates, Katie Stepanyuk.

Hey! I was garren's art teacher when he was at prms. I have an interior design degree and love to paint. So, let me know if you need any design help or if you would like anything in particular painted on the walls. I would be happy to help! Let me know if there is anything I can do. Go Steelers! Go Garren! Chase has a Steelers room and loves his room. We are praying for Garren's surprises to continue and get bigger. When Todd's Dad was in the hospital, they told us to play familiar things to him. We have a Steelers movie and a portable DVD player we would love to share so Garren can listen when he is not in therapy.

Have a GREAT run today, Pastor Geoffrey! Glad you still get to do that. And SO glad to hear about the donations for Garren's room and all the excitement around that. And, of course, how great Garren is doing in therapy. Loved Kara's dream, too. Wow. Go God! We keep praying for all of you!

You're right, it looks like a beautiful day for the race. Hope all goes well. Garren's room sounds like it will be great. Things sure do seem to be moving at a good pace to stay a step ahead of his projected date of release. How is the eye doing? Did you see more action from him yesterday after he was rested? Continuing to pray, In for the long haul, The Sisk Family
