Remember the tarsorrhaphy? The procedure where the eye doctor stitched Garren's left eye partially shut because he wasn't strong enough on that side of his face to shut it himself? Well today the doctor decided that Garren's eye has gotten strong enough to function properly...so he removed the stitches. Another baby step toward recovery. It's so great to see Garren's eyes both open and looking normal.
Just when it feels like things aren't changing, God gives us a little glimpse of hope.

Both me and my family have been keeping him in our prayers! Glad to know he is doing better!
Another wonderful step! Praise him!
During the last few nights during family prayer time Brian talks to God and us about Gettysburg and the happy memories of Garren and how God sees Garren whole, like at Gettysburg. All of us continue to pray knowing in God's time, all prayers are answered, and knowing all of us know who Garren is and see him as unchanged and whole before Christ.
Wow...I already thought he had the stitches removed a while back...this is so great, and a sign to you that progress is still that...progress....what a roller coaster ride this past year has been for all of you...and look...you have not fallen from the "twists", "curls", "ups and downs" of the ride...and God has kept you safe all the way...I so wish that you would be encouraged, and stay strong, even when you feel weak and tired...God really really has this all worked out...love & prayers, Sandy & Russ
