Garren is coming off the sedatives. I saw his foot move. This has happened a couple of times before. We are looking for intentional movement. One of the things that happens at this stage is seizures. If the movement is rhythmic, a regular movement back and forth, then it is more than likely seizure activity.

When I touched Garren's foot, it moved. I pushed on the bottom of his foot, and I know he pushed back. The movement does not seem rhythmic. It's easy to get excited in moments like this. Remember, we are in for a long haul. Was it seizure activity? There is no way to know for sure.

We will continue to pray for Garren as he rests, and his brain heals.

WOO HOO! Hooray for some good news. I have been praying that you will see a positive sign today!! As I think about Garren each day, I do find myself getting excited...KNOWING that God will heal him completely. I have complete faith in this, but I have to "talk myself down" a bit, knowing it will also be a long road, not an instant recovery. Thanks so much for the update, I feel like I check here every 10 minutes. You are in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers without ceasing.

yeah!!! we are praying. We are checking the up-dates several times a day as well. With everything we remind Morgan to do...brush your teeth, make your bed, pack up your backpack...we are reminded to pray for Garren. He is constantly on our minds and hearts and in our prayers!! Praying, believing, trusting and KNOWING!!!!

We are continuing to pray that God is decreasing the brain swelling and protecting Garren from any infections or complications. Praise the Lord for the movement in his foot. We will start praying for purposeful movement from him. We are praying for stength, endurance, protection and peace for the rest of you. Please know you and your family are constantly in our thoughts and prayers.

Just want you and Nancy to know that you all are in our prayers as you wait for God to heal and see a miracle take place. Our God is never too big or too small to take care of us and we ask His will be done for Garren. Randy and I just saw nancy the other week and did not know that Garrne and my grandson Drew played football together. Drew lost his mom 9 monts today to cancer and we know the heartaches that come our way but we also know the joy of knowing God is right there thru it all. You have our love, our prayers and if there is anything we can do, just feel free to let us know. We love you and lift you up to our allknowing God for mercy.

What a glimpse of encouragement.
We do need to be reminded to stay the course. We always want instant in everything we do don't we?
In this fast paced age, I think the hardest lesson is for us to wait on God.
Just not something we are comfortable doing.

Garren and your family will continue to be in my prayers. I know that our Heavenly Father holds Garren securely in His hands. Psalms 37:7 begins by saying: Be still and rest in the Lord; wait for Him, and patiently stay yourself upon Him.

I was thinking, Garren has both yours and Nancy's genes...you are there, pushing him to move forward through your readings, your love, and your faith in God...my hope is, he pushed back. A long haul ahead, yes it is...but with moments such as these, it makes the journey more bearable.

I saw a sign lit up at an old country church back in 1998...on that particular night, I was not at a good place in my life...The sign read "Just when you think it's become too hard to pray is when you need to pray the hardest." I've never forgotten it!

It reminds me constantly that there is nothing we can't give to God that is too hard...too hard for us, yes, but not for Him.

I just wanted to let you know that I am praying for Garren and your family ... this is a matter very dear to my heart as my husband suffered from an AVM nearly a year ago (2/17/10) and has made a remarkable recovery ... I believe his recovery was miraculous due to all the prayers and support we received. I have been reading through your blog and feeling taken back to nearly a year ago and immensely feel your pain, sorrow and strength all at the same time. You are right that this is a marathon, keep yourself paced and taken help when you can get it. Yay! Finally some good news. I have been praying every single day and hour for Garren. I know that god has this all under control though. I have faith in that. I came to the hospital today and met all the family theyre so nice.We're basically all in this together with god on our side <3

Just a note to let you know we are continually thinking and praying for Garren and the entire family. I check for updates first thing in the morning, when I get home and several times throughout the night. He stays on my mind. I am excited to hear about his small movements. My heart aches for you as I read your blog reliving many memories of my own battle with an AVM hemorrhage. My hemorrhage occurred nearly 16 years ago when I was 17. My hope in writing this is that you will find some comfort and encouragement in that we serve a gracious, loving God who still performs miracles today. The Dr.'s gave my parents little hope of my survival and if I did survive I would probably not be able to walk or talk. My parents waited, as you are waiting, clinging to the hope that The Great Physician would provide a miracle. Psalm 77 became their prayer daily. Praise be to God that when I woke there was no significant damage. I could walk, I could talk, and 3 months later I started college. I went on to become a nurse and now am a mommy to 3 beautiful kids. I will be praying for your sweet Garren but felt the Lord wanted me to share a little of my story to hopefully encourage you to cling to that hope that He truly does hear the cries of His people. Blessings to you all!!

We believe God's intentions are always to bless his beloved kids and his passion and desire is to see Garren whole and happy. Just wanted you to know Byron and I are continuing to pray. Our Sevier Heights Choir family lifted Garren to the Lord last night and will continue to pray. Our choir is 200 strong so that is 200 more lifting Garren's name to the Lord. I read Psalms 5 today and know the Lord is Garren's protection and sheild. He hears our prayers!
