His breathing is agonal - which means he is having a hard time breathing on his own. It looks a lot like a hiccup everytime he takes a breath. The neurologist's concern there is that Garren's brain has been damaged to a point that it is unable to control his respiratory functions properly.
Also, he is showing possible signs of diabetes incipitous. Basically, he is passing more urine than he should be. This is controlled by the pituitary gland, which is located in his brain as well.
I asked if the swelling on his brain could be responsible for some of these symptoms. The doctor very carefully answered, not wanting to give false hope, that it is a possibility, but we can't say for sure.
They will test his urine for the diabetes issue, and then we should be able to know a little more.

love the Ex 14:14 reference. We see the stillness in the wait. The peace that is so hard to understand. We see it and it's contagious. He's contagious. All four boys lifting him constantly. Trusting. Believing. Praying.
we are lifting you and Garren up in prayer! We have a son who is 13 and can only imagine what you are going through! We KNOW that our heavenly Father, "Abba" is with you! We pray that He continues to wrap his arms of love around you all, especially Garren!
